Admin HUD

Jump to: navigation, search

The RPS Admin HUD is a worn object usable by administrators of an environment to perform a variety of tasks. Permission for each of these tasks is given by the region owner/authorized administrator through the RPS website on the 'character details' page for each avatar. Default permissions are none, meaning that any avatar not explicitly given permissions to perform admin actions will not be able to successfully utilize the RPS Admin HUD. Additionally, permissions are 'environment specific', meaning that an admin from another environment cannot come into your environment and use the RPS Admin HUD without you giving your express permission for them to do so through changing their website character permissions for your environment.

To 'setup' the RPS Admin HUD, you must simply wear it (it naturally attaches to the 'Center 2' HUD attachment spot and appears on the right-side of your screen). There is no actual setup process involved. However, the RPS Admin HUD will --not-- function if there are no RPS Admin Servers in your environment. For the RPS Admin HUD to function, you --must-- have an RPS Admin Server setup in each of your environment regions.

The RPS Admin HUD allows for several actions (all instructions are explained in a private say each time you push any button on the RPS Admin HUD):

The log notes the date/time, the admin performing the action, the avatar on whom the action was performed, and the reason/explanation given.
