Release Date: 4/8/2010

NOTE: Thank you everyone for your patience with Open Beta and your very helpful bug reports. As you can see below, we have managed to resolve a great deal of the issues affecting players and are well on our way to a fully stable version 3.0 less than 48 hrs after Open Beta release. Everyone can have their own opinions about how good that is - but personally I'm stoked! Please do continue sending in bug reports for any new issue that you find ... I am hard at work making sure we can get everything as smooth as possible as quickly as possible. Thanks again! Kenn Nilsson

  • Random 1 point gain in Physical at times when Physical is already at max value. - Now solved to not allow a tick above max value.
  • Choosing "Restore" on the character menu can sometimes change a character's name to Restore - When a player chooses the "Name" option on the character menu, anything said by the character in the next 60 seconds (including responses to menu commands, as these are considered 'said' by the avatar) was recording as the character's name. A safety has been placed into the name recording to prevent menu buttons from being recorded as a name.
  • Influence is not always displaying properly - There are several "initial load" errors in RPS 3.0 OPEN BETA, which are always display errors and always solved through forcing a reload. The resulting theory is that the SL issues causing a delay in the load of Mono-compiled scripts is still significant and an initial load delay is required before sending relevant information to all portions of the HUD. Therefore, when the HUD receives its information from the web, it will delay 2 seconds before distributing that info, which should be --plenty-- of time for other scripts in the HUD to be prepared to receive the information and display properly.
  • Able to change mode from non-combat to spar -- should not be allowed - Prevented active mode-switching in non-combat mode.
  • Bandage other is still glitchy, does not always work -- was using an early beta healing protocol, updated to correct protocol.
  • Overhead meter does not always show the appropriate color-correspondance based on current health level - Recalibrated the HUD to Meter communication and errors should not continue with color-showing.
  • Skill lists did not recognize an increase in stat (Physical, Mental, Social) appropriately. Now do.
  • NEW FEATURE: Retreive your IC channel by touching the Character Menu (the person figure to the left of Health) and selecting the "IC Channel" option.

KNOWN ISSUES FOR SOLVING WITH NEXT UPDATE:

  • No new issues reported.

OPEN ISSUES FROM PREVIOUS VERSIONS NOT YET FIXED:

  • Template granted starting skills do not always appropriately apply and training in the skill results in 'retraining' the granted level (noted particularly in the Elf template in Ambrea).
  • Not all characters transfering from 2.0 to 3.0 received their full compliment of myth (those who are short are short somewhere between 2 and 3 points).
  • Speaking in a language does not declare which language is being spoken in public chat
  • Influence is not lost on defeat
