Math Involved in Rolls
All rolls are based on a 1-1000 random number, followed with bonuses based on relevant stat and skill levels.
If a stat is related to the die roll ( as in, if the roll is a skill roll or a stat roll ), then the stat is added to the total number. If, for instance, a player rolled their 'Poison' skill, because it is associated with the 'Social' stat, that Social stat would be added to the roll.
If a skill is related to the die roll (as in, if the roll is a skill roll ), then the character's skill level * 100 is added to the total number. If, for instance, a player rolled their Research skill and had 3 points in that skill, their die roll would be given a +300 bonus.
Math Involved in Effect Rolls
Effect rolls are numbers given in parentheses after the characters dice roll and are meant to simulate a 'strength of effect' should the roll succeed. These rolls are randomized separately of the base roll and have a range of 1 - 1/10th of a character's relevant stat (ie, if the character has a 150 strength, the range is 1-15). If a character has scored a Critical Success, this roll is then doubled. If they achieved a Critical Failure, the effect is halved.
